Translation Manager gives you full control over every text in your Perfex CRM. Scan core, module, and custom language files into a visual editor, translate inline with live filters, or batch-translate hundreds of keys at once with DeepL, Google Translate, or any AI provider via AI Suite. A glossary keeps your terminology consistent, placeholders and HTML are protected automatically, and every change is versioned with one-click rollback. When you are done, publish everything as update-safe custom language files — your translations survive every Perfex and module update.

Common questions about Translation Manager.

Which translation providers are supported?

DeepL (free and pro API), Google Cloud Translation, and — if our AI Suite module is installed — any AI model configured there, including OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and OpenRouter models. Manual translation works without any provider.

Will my translations survive Perfex CRM updates?

Yes. Translation Manager publishes your work as custom language files, the official Perfex override mechanism. Core and module updates replace the original files but never your custom files. After an update, run a scan to see newly added keys.

Can I translate third-party module texts too?

Yes. The file scanner picks up the language files of every installed module, not just Perfex core. You can filter the editor by module and translate exactly the parts you need.

How does batch translation handle placeholders like %s?

Placeholders (%s, %d) and embedded HTML are detected before the text is sent to the provider, protected during translation, and restored afterwards. Keys containing placeholders are also flagged in the editor so reviewers can double-check them.

What does the glossary do?

The glossary defines fixed source-to-target translations for specific terms — your product names, legal terms, or industry vocabulary. During batch translation these terms are enforced, so every occurrence is translated consistently.

Can I work with an external translation agency?

Yes. Export the keys you need as CSV, send them to your translator, and re-import the finished file. You can choose whether imported rows overwrite existing translations, are merged, or land in the review queue first.

What happens when an English original changes after an update?

The scanner compares originals on every run. If an English source text changed, the affected translation is flagged as needing review — so outdated translations never go unnoticed.

Do I need an API key to use the module?

Only for machine translation. The visual editor, glossary, workflow, revisions, publishing, and CSV import/export all work without any external service. For batch translation you add your DeepL or Google API key, or use AI Suite.

Which Perfex CRM versions are supported?

Translation Manager supports Perfex CRM 3.x and requires PHP 8.1 or higher. It works with any language installed in your Perfex CRM, including right-to-left languages.
